FSY Transportation Information
For those youth who have registered to attend the July 21-26 session in Moscow, ID and to use the stake provided transportation, please carefully read the information below:
Monday, July 21 Departure for FSY
*Youth will check in with chaperones as they board the bus. The Permission and medical release form must be turned in before the youth can board the bus. (they should be submitted electronically ahead of time--see below).
Pendleton
7:15-7:30 am Check-In with chaperones at the PHS student parking lot. Please be on time...the bus leaves by 7:45 am
Walla Walla
8:30-8:45 am Check-in with chaperones at the Stake Center. Please be on time...the bus leaves by 9:00 am
Dayton
9:40 am Bus will stop at the Conoco gas station (522 West Main)
--Youth should bring all sack lunch to eat on the bus, meal service starts with dinner
11:30-11:45 am Arrive at U of I for check-in!!
Saturday, July 26th Return and Pick-Up
6:30-6:45 am Youth please be out of your dorms and ready to load the bus
--Check in with the Stake Chaperone before boarding the bus
--Breakfast snack items will be available as you board the bus
7:00 am Bus Departs U of I
Dayton
9:00am Drop off Dayton youth at Conoco Gas Station
Walla Walla
9:30-9:45 am Drop off youth at the Walla Walla Stake Center
Pendleton
10:45 -11 am Drop off youth at PHS student parking lot
*Youth will text or call families with updated travel info as the buses get close to pick-up locations.
**Permission and Medical Release Forms**
If you have not yet sent in your medical release form, please scan it and email to Ashley Rehberg (ashleyrehberg@gmail.com) or take a photo of the completed form and text it to Ashley at 208-270-2033
A few other reminders:
Bring a Sack lunch to eat on the bus on Monday, as FSY meal service starts at dinner.
Pack bedding and a towel and hand soap: these items are not provided. You can bring sheets or a sleeping bag. Keep in mind that the rooms get warm at night, and there is no AC in the dorms.
Pack what you can manage: When packing, keep in mind that you will be carrying all of your gear from the bus to the check-in location and then to your dorm room, which may involve stairs.
Label Luggage: Your luggage will be stored in the undercarriage or back seat of the bus. Please make your luggage easy to identify (with a label or bandana, etc.)
Pack Bedding for Transport: Sleeping bags and pillows should be in a labeled garbage bag or duffle bag to keep them clean and so they are easy to identify. You can keep your pillow with you to sleep on the bus if you prefer.
There is no AC at the U of I dorms. You may want to bring a small fan.
Saturday Breakfast Provided by Stake: There is no breakfast in the cafeteria on Saturday morning. The Stake will provide some breakfast snack items as youth board the bus (Juice, fruit, granola bars, etc.). If you have special dietary needs, please bring your own breakfast items for Saturday morning.
